We just had a new furnace and air conditioning installed by Elkhorn and couldn't be happier with their service.   • Adam B. came to our house today to service four Fujitsu AC heads. He was everything a customer could ask for in a service technician. He vacuumed one of the unit drain lines and blew out the other three with nitrogen, cleaned all of the filters, checked the operation of each unit and inspected outside compressor units & drain lines. He was thoughtful, courteous and very efficient.

    I asked him for a favor after he job was completed. I have physical limitations and cannot lift any thing over 10 pounds. Adam dumped a 20 pound sack of salt pellets into our water softner. I am so grateful for all his work and for the favor he did for me. He is a tribute to the quality image and customer care image of ElkHorn.

  • Our house was built in 1912 and the old gravity boiler was replaced a few years ago by the previous owners to an updated boiler. Unfortunately, the company who did that work in our 3000+ sq ft, four story home didn't concern themselves with updating the piping. Needless to say, our heating was very uneven. I spent a few months talking to different companies to figure out exactly where the problem lay and what might be the best solution. It wasn't until Fuzzy showed up that I felt I was talking to someone who really knew what he was doing.

    In December, Elkhorn replaced our faulty boiler with a state of the art boiler, re-piped to maximize efficiency and for the first time we can spend time comfortably on the main floor of our home. Kind of important since the kitchen, dining room and living room are all on the main floor.

    Fuzzy and his team did a wonderful job. Showed up on time and finished when they said they were going to. They were also able to accommodate changes that I requested during the course of the installation. Any questions or small things that have come up since are promptly attended to and we are extremely pleased with the work. I have been and will continue to recommend Elkhorn to anyone who needs help with their homes heating system needs.

I did my own research on brands and based off of consumer reports and other reviews I chose American Standard for my new A/C, compressor and furnace. The water heater is Bradford White. They came out in a timely fashion to look over my house, run their diagnostics and measurements for correct size and type and get in a bid. I feel it was a great price for everything we swapped out and they were able to set up the appointment 13 days from the bid, crazy fast for such a hot summer in Denver and the amount of A/C issues going on. They took care of all the permitting and made sure it was acceptable with The City of Denver to place the new compressor in a different location than where the original one was. All of their service technicians are company employees, not contractors. It's been over a week so far with 100+ days and everything is working fantastic, it actually runs less than our old one and the compressor is soooo much quieter, as it sits close to our outdoor living space and we wanted the quietest one on the market, boy did we choose wisely. Overall just a great experience and so far everything is running perfectly.

    Over the past several months, I have been having problems with my furnace-mounted Humidifier, and called Elkhorn to check it out. This morning Fuzzy, the Service Manager, came out and indicated that I was not getting proper water flow in the humidifier. He did an excellent job of diagnosing all the potential issues, and found the issue: a problem with the rubber seat of the saddle valve.

    This was another example of superb customer care and service, and it is why I continue to call Elkhorn for my various HVAC needs. So, Kudos to Fuzzy and your entire team for your excellent service.

So after the new one was installed we put another load on the new one and they said there would be no problems running any and all systems all at once now!

  • I am utterly amazed at the customer service that I received from the entire team at Elkhorn. I wish I had found them sooner (and not sure how we managed to miss them at the Home and Garden show). We had a few companies come out to give us estimates on a new furnance--other companies spent no more than 10 minutes before giving us outrageous quotes (some as high as $15K for an Amana furnance). When Elkhorn came out, they spent over an hour measuring our furnace and documenting everything that would be needed--all as part of their free quote. The technicians and office staff (namely Kimberly) were incredibly responsive and willing to help with any questions. We had a slight plumbing issue unrelated to our furnace and Fuzzy helped diagnose the issue over the phone, hoping to resolve the issue without having any additional expenses on top of a new Trane furnace. Luckily it was a cheap fix and appreciate them not trying to gouge us after we just bought a new furnace. We could not be happier with the service from Elkhorn and have raved about them to all our friends.

  • I wanted to let you know what a superb job Chad did today for me. My AC was not working, and he diligently, professionally, and patiently diagnosed the issue and proceeded to fix the problem. Chad has very effective Customer Service skills. He kept me in the loop of what he was doing, and I could tell that he went out of his way to give a thorough assessment of the problem before proceeding. He was very knowledgeable, and so, his approach resulted in my having great confidence in his work.

  • I wanted to thank Elkhorn for doing an outstanding job repairing my air conditioning system last summer. The Trane unit was originally installed 12 years ago by another company. I have had problems with it since the day I bought it. You graciously sent out your Service Manager Fuzzy, he was by far the most customer oriented repair technician I have ever had in any capacity at my house. He wanted me to observe what he was doing and explained every step in laymen terms. That is something most appreciated. He checked facets of the AC process no one has ever done before based on my memory. My AC is finally operating as it should be!   • I am enthusiastically writing to express my satisfaction with the great customer service provided by electrician Ray Miller. Ray Miller and Kevin were scheduled to come to my home for a diagnostic between 11-1 today. Honestly, I dread appoints with two or more hours of time yet was pleasantly surprised when Ray and Kevin arrived around 10: 50. They were professional, polite and efficiently started diagnosing the electrical problems within two minutes of their arrival. They were knowledgeable and quickly identified the electrical problems in the garage as well as in multiple rooms of the house. In addition to being very satisfied with Ray's electrical knowledge, I was elated with his ability and willingness to explain electrical issues clearly and simply. After taking time to explain his diagnosis to me, then (a few minutes later) to my husband, he happily explained them to my 15 year old son upon my request. It seems to me that Ray both loves and is highly competent in his work as well as strives to excellently meet the needs of customers. For these reasons I feel thankful that my electrical problems have been solved, empowered to have learned about electrical issues in my home, and inspired to encounter professionals who enjoy their work and enjoy helping people learn. I will also add that Kevin was very professional and I feel good knowing that a younger professional is learning not only about technical skills but people skills as well.   • Hello Elkhorn: I'm writing to send a thank you and a compliment about the service I received recently from one of your professionals, Fuzzy. Our heat went out on Sunday, just before it was supposed to get really cold. On Monday, another company came out and gave us an estimate and recommendation. I was concerned about it, because I didn't really understand what they were recommending or why, and it was potentially very expensive.

    We called you all for a second opinion, and Fuzzy came out very quickly to help us. He explained the problem very clearly (something no heating expert I've ever used has done), and fixed it efficiently and quickly. When another problem popped up, he was out right away and worked the same magic. I had 100% confidence in his opinion because of the way he explained things (and his willingness to explain things), and now have even more confidence because was exactly right! He's also a great guy and a pleasure to work with. We will call Elkhorn about any future problems because of the excellent service we got from Fuzzy. Thanks so much!

    The dual fuel furnace unit is working spectacular. My master bedroom was actually comfortable this morning when I woke, despite the -12 degree reading on the very cool thermostat display. The unit is quiet and is seamlessly distributing the air through the ductwork. I am impressed with the very high quality of this product.

    I can't thank Elkhorn Heating enough for the work they did. Gary is one of the most caring business owners and is dedicated to quality installation. I am very happy with his crew and the care they took to protect my home while they did the installation.

    Tomorrow morning is suppose to be -21, and again I will wake to a nice warm bedroom.

  • We sought four bids to get an evaporative system installed, and while Elkhorn was neither the most expensive or inexpensive, we got the highest quality of professionalism one could ask for. From the initial contact, when technicians wore protective foot covering to keep our home clean, to the thorough evaluation and explanation our our options, to even a followup visit to assess whether air conditioning might be an option, Elkhorn was friendly, prompt and professional. Owner Gary Neal was very forthright on the followup in telling us AC was not a good option because of the age and configuration of our home, even though we were leaning toward AC. He also recommended a higher volume evap cooler than the other contractors did, and the results have been fantastic. Elkhorn's staff electrician found creative and affordable solutions to our unique situation that also were within city codes.These guys even vacuumed the rooms in which they did some additional electrical work and left no trace. Not only do we recommend Elkhorn to others, but we are again recommending them to ourselves in having them install central AC on another home we own, confident no bid will be needed. These guys are real pros.

    The one thing I left out in hindsight is that I should have given Team Logan a nod. But perhaps that is self-evident. And I meant every word I wrote in my feedback.
