I feel like I got an honest assessment of my options for repair/replacement of my old wooden garage door. I chose to go with a new door and am pleased with the entire experience. They did exactly what they said they would do, exactly when they said they would do it. I highly recommend them and will go with them again for any garage door needs.
My garage door suddenly went nuts. It went up 3', then down (when button pressed). Next time it was 5 '. Then it was all the way up and down, hard. I called the Garage Doctor based on Yelp reviews. I was told it sounded like a broken spring, although I did not see that. Mario and Ryan came out same day and diagnosed a pulled-and-not-reseated-properly red handle (I forget the name of it, but you use the red handle to disengage the garage opener). They just popped it back into place and told me it was probably pulled by my car. They raised the handle so that I could still reach it, but it wouldn't drag on the car. Since they had to charge a $99 trip charge, they lubricated all the parts of my door and noted that both springs and openers looked old. Mario wrote down my preferences for a new opener (had to have Home Link), so when it failed, they would know what to bring out. They even changed out the light bulb for me, so now I have an LED bulb in the garage. They were honest about the red handle being the only thing that was wrong and in recommending waiting until my springs and opener failed before replacing. I highly recommend them and will definitely call them when I need more help with my garage.
Our garage door spring broke this morning around 8am and was fixed and operating by 1:30pm thanks to garage Doctor! Their technician Ryan was friendly, informative and efficient. He helped explain the process and got right to work. We appreciate their service today immensely, now I can get my car out of the garage! Thanks Ryan and Garage Doctor.

Really happy I used Yelp to find this company! Called for service because I heard a loud clicking noise when our garage door would open. They responded very quickly to set up an appointment and were very accommodating when I called last minute the morning of the appt. to see if they could come a little later. Very understanding, polite and accommodating!
Trapper arrived exactly when he said he would and inspected the door, the springs and hinges and immediately diagnosed our issue. He was very honest with his recommendation about not needing an official service call and said we could hold off, the clicking noise wasn't ideal, but it also wasn't doing any damage. He offered to do a general service call or hold off until next spring (or another issue arose). There was no "service" per se involved, but I'll definitely always call his company and recommend them when it comes to garage doors!
We had to replace a spring in our garage and after searching around a bit, I decided to try out The Garage Doctor. I asked for an estimate and, like the page says, got a reply within an hour.
The whole process from estimate to finish was probably the fastest I have ever experienced for repair work. I made the appointment on Saturday evening and just had it completed less than an hour ago. My garage opens and closes very quietly now. It's so nice!
The tech, Travis, was very polite and prompt. You know what else was very surprising? He put his own shoe covers before entering my home without even me having to ask. That is a first!

Mario was there when he said he was going to be there. Said between 12-4. Showed up at 12:50. That was great. Fixed the springs on the garage. No problem. Lubed up the garage and made it run smoother. Timely, friendly, reasonable service. I did have to mention the ad they had online for the deal on the springs, to get a cheaper price. But other than that it was excellent.
Had Ricky from The Garage Doctor come out and do some work and he did an amazing job! Fixed all the existing problems, reprogrammed all my remotes, put in a keyless entry, and replaced light bulbs!! Can't say enough good things about him and the company. Would definitely recommend him.
The staff was extremely friendly and did a great job. They arrived a little bit outside of the window that they quoted us, however they were in communication the entire time. Ryan and Jordan were awesome! They were both extremely nice and professional. We would definitely recommend them 100 percent and refer them to friends as well. 5 stars in our book!
Within 20 minutes of calling Trapper, Travis was at my door even though I said it was not an emergency. He had my door springs and a few hinges replaced in less than an hour and the price was very fair. I will definitely call them again when I need service!
I had a great experience with the Garage Doctor. First, Trapper contacted me less than five minutes after I requested a quote. Trapper was great on the phone and walked me through how the process would work and how the job would be priced.
I have an older garage door that has older parts and was afraid the price would quickly escalate. However, Trapper told me that he was confident that the torsion spring that needed to be replaced was part of their quote. If it was not, they would not do any work without confirming with me first.
The torsion spring broke on a weekend night and Garage Doctor had someone to my house early the next morning. The technician, Ricky, was polite, fast, courteous, and happy to explain the entire process. Great company from start to finish.
As with all of the other reviews posted about The Garage Doctor, I am completely satisfied with the service Ryan just provided. He was on time, professional and straightforward in his assessment of my garage problems. After about 30 minutes Ryan had completed the job and I was back to work.
The whole process was much better and faster than I had expected. I contacted Trapper through yelp and within 5 minutes had a message back including a quote on what might be the problem. I called to schedule an appointment and was immediately greeted and scheduled quickly. All in all I've had a great experience with these guys and will definitely call them in the future.

For the very first time in over 25 years I have found a contractor who gave me a 2-3 hour estimated time slot, called me in the first 15 minutes telling me that he would be here in about 20 minutes, and 15 minutes later arrived at my door. This is what "Customer Service" is! Travis was my tech and he promptly told me the problem. We discussed the solution and within an hour and a half the job was fully completed and the door operational again. All was very satisfactory and I will certainly recommend The Garage Doctor and Travis to anyone that needs help with Garage door problems.
A garage door spring broke and trapped one of our cars in the garage. We called The Garage Doctor. They came out the next afternoon. Kelly was our tech and he was great. Kelly was super friendly and did a fantastic job. I wasn't happy that our spring had broken in the first place as we had just replaced it a couple of years ago with some other company. Kelly explained why it had broken. The other company had used some cheap galvanized steel spring. Kelly told me they use high quality steel springs and this wouldn't happen with their springs. Kelly fixed our springs, tuned and lubricated our garage door and even reset all the pressure settings on our door opener. This was way above and beyond what we expected. He did all this in 30 mins flat. I would definitely recommend The Garage Doctor and Kelly to anyone

Imagine the sinking feeling of pressing the button you do every morning but this time it fails… Now get on the phone and try every number listed under garage door. At 6:41am nobody answered my frantic calls until I called The Garage Doctor. I could hardly believe that somebody actually picked up the phone. I felt instant relief. As I explained the situation to the gentleman (Trapper, awesome name by the way) on the phone he said he could have a technician out in an hour. Was this a dream? We started the morning feeling literally trapped in our own home and now somebody was coming to our rescue in an hour? Amazing service! As promised within the hour a technician was there. Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday we went out in the morning and came home and parked our car in our garage. We hit the close button and heard a huge crash. We tried to raise our garage door to no avail. However, since we had parked our car in the garage, we were trapped at home. We called Mike Zeman, who had recommended we call your company. Kelly came out on Monday first thing in the morning. The springs had broken and he not only replaced the springs, he lubricated all the appropriate parts. Our garage door now works fabulously and is much quieter. Kelly was just a doll. He was very polite and explained everything he had done and fixed everything in an extremely short time. My husband and I will have no problem recommending your company.
When my garage door spring broke on a Sunday morning, I sent out quote requests through the company websites of 6 TeamDaveLogan listed companies, looking to set up a service call for the next day. The Garage Doctors were the first to respond (and only one of two to ever get back to me). Trapper communicated with me several times to get me an accurate (and very reasonable) estimate and set up my service call. Ryan was the technician who repaired my spring and was the model of efficiency and professionalism. That's the way to run a company - way to go guys!

Trapper is a very knowledgeable and honest garage door man. He took care my broken springs, replaced broker rollers, lubricate and adjusted my garage door system all for a price that was significantly less than others replacing the springs only. He is a perfectionist and took his time to do it right. He was on time and he called in advance letting us know he's on his way. I will keep his business card in my "good guys" folder and call him again when needed. He even left me a full can of garage door lubricant without charging me for it. Great people...
Trapper is a fine professional. He's fair, honest, and a pleasure to do business with. In a time when it is so hard to find good character-filled businessmen, he's a breath of fresh air. A few days back our garage door opener failed to open our door all the way when we returned home and our garage door came crashing down, never to be opened again (or so I thought). I started calling several garage door service providers. I was impressed with the Garage Doctor in every step of the process. He answered my calls right away every time I called to ask questions (can't say the same for the other guys). He explained all of my options clearly and honestly. When I described what was wrong with my opener, he accurately diagnosed it over the phone and told me how much the repair would cost. He told me the cost of getting a new unit as well and let me decide which option was best. He scheduled a visit, arrived promptly as scheduled and quickly and professionally finished his work. He was friendly, polite and did excellent work. He explained how the opener operated, gave me maintenance tips and even serviced the garage door for me. His price is reasonable too. My garage door was not working so I called The Garage Doctor. Trapper arrived at my home on time, and was very professional. He explained things very clearly and gave me pricing before he did any of the work. It is nice to know there are still honest people around that aren't just trying to make a quick buck. My husband and I were have issues with our garage door closing, I called the garage doctor to schedule a free estimate and while on the phone he was able to troubleshoot the problem and he even walked us through how to fix it. We had a torsion spring in one of our 12 year old garage doors snap on Monday afternoon. After checking around and getting a few quotes I called Trapper. Trapper asked a few questions and gave me a quote over the phone and then came out first thing on Tuesday. He arrived right on schedule (even though it had snowed Tuesday morning). He didn't have the exact torsion spring with him and rather then just putting in a different one that would have worked, made another quick trip to get the correct spring and installed it by 1PM. He also checked and serviced all of our garage doors and checked our openers. I also had him replace all of the old metal rollers with new nylon ones. Our garage doors run so much smoother and quieter...it's like having brand new doors. I wish we'd installed those nylon rollers a long time ago. I highly recommend The Garage Doctor and will certainly call Trapper again when the next torsion spring goes.
My garage door was old and not running well, so I decided to upgrade. I went online to find a garage door company and there were so many options. Personally I like to call companies that have reviews first, at the time The Garage Doctor had about 5 or 6 rave reviews (for some reason they aren't up now, but it also looks like some changes have been made to the list of companies, so I hope they're posted again soon so you all can benefit from them like I did).
The service was superior and I appreciated how knowledgeable he was. I've found that a lot of companies will try and take you for a ride, but the Garage Doctor was honest and provided options based on my budget!

Trapper was great to work with. After reading the great reviews on this site, I decided to give him a call to check out some broken springs. He squeezed a visit in that day and long story short we needed everything. No pressure just an honest evaluation. Fortunately he had all the supplies with him, including a new opener. Completed it in a couple of hours and it works great. An my wife even like the citrus smell of the lubricant he left behind!
A true professional, Trapper showed after my hatch back on SUV did not close (oopsy!) as usual and dented my 35 year old relic garage door into a new configuration, shall we say?
