To ensure you get the most out of your Reputation Management program, it's important to encourage your customers to leave positive reviews. Here are some tips for soliciting reviews:

  • Ask the customer for a review when you complete a job.

Immediacy is very important with customers, and the best time to ask for a review is when the job is complete, and the customer is thrilled with the work you've done. Encourage your personnel to ask for a review after every service call or visit. Some businesses even create business cards that have links to their review site, or a link to their "Review" page on the company website. Remember, if you don't ask, they probably won't do it!

  • Send an email.

Having your team ask for reviews directly is a great first step in increasing the number of reviews that your business will receive. To further increase your chances of getting reviews, every customer service call should be followed up with an email message asking for a review. Or, if you'd prefer to set aside time each week or month to send emails to customers who have been serviced in that time period, that would work, too. Remember, the sooner you email the customer after they receive service, the more likely you are to receive a review.

  • Ask for reviews on your website.

Your loyal customers will visit your website, so why not give them a chance to leave you a review? With our program, we provide code so you can create a review page right on your site. This page will allow you to display your recent high-star reviews, and give customers a place to review you without ever leaving your website.

  • Ask for reviews in every customer interaction.

Every interaction with a customer is a chance to get that happy customer to review you. Be sure to include a link to your review page on:

    • Invoices
    • Appointment reminders
    • Email signatures
    • Social media posts

Developing a plan to solicit reviews is the first step to creating a stellar online reputation - a reputation that will likely attract new customers and encourage them to hire you. By utilizing some of the strategies above, you will ensure that you capture the attention of as many customers as possible.
