Overall this is my favorite bank I've ever banked with, and this particular branch is a great branch I feel good using. Great people.
I received really great customer service from the First Bank call center this afternoon, I think the person's name who helped me was Don, he was very informative and helpful and then he contacted a person at the actual bank location in Lakewood and this man's name was Lance, he researched the issue and he called me back pretty fast, everything was solved. (lesson learned - when it comes to banking no matter how tiny the amount, don't fill out a deposit ticket in a rush before you go to work)) anyway, I just really was very happy with their customer service overall, they found what I was looking for and fixed everything and were very nice the whole time.
I wanted to take a second to applaud First Bank. I never walked into a branch, and I still was taken care of. They have 24/7 live support, and it's super easy to get to a live individual. It makes it a breeze to call my bank. I had a large hiccup with Sprint, and it resulted in me being negative in my account. When I called the bank to ensure that the money taken from Sprint was not accurate they waived my late fees for me (granted I don't really get NSF's anymore!). Then, Sprint continued to mess up, and didn't refund me for another 5 days, obviously in the day and age of auto-pay all my bills come out automatically, resulting in even more NSF fees. Having just reversed for this issue I thought I wouldn't be able to get them to waive the other fees that had accrued while I awaited my refund. I was on hold for about 3 minutes, and then I was refunded for the other NSF fees that had occurred. I really appreciate the bank taking the time to help me out, especially when they really didn't have to. You've a loyal customer ( 6 years and counting!) and I'll try to recruit some new ones too! Thank you First Bank, for being the bright spot in a really crummy situation.
Always had good service here when opening and closing accounts. Also have enjoyed the free Saturday morning donuts from time to time!

Great branch, always friendly. Some of the tellers have been there for years and get to know the customers, even those that are not there every day. I usually go during high volume times and I find them to be quick and efficient. I have my safety deposit box here and they are always respectful and courteous when I have to go in it. I am not a big fan of visiting banks ,but I had to open a new bank account and thanks to Flora H,the whole transaction was fast and very professional. She was thorough during the whole process and was very courteous. Also,the building i's very clean and did not experienced any waiting time .Highly recommended.

My cousin just moved from out of the country a couple days ago. We stopped at chase bank to open an account but were denied for what seemed to be ridiculous reasons. We decided to stop in to FirstBank to see what their requirements were. We met with a super nice and helpful lady by the name of Linda Woodruff. She was such a pleasure to deal with. I have been banking with FirstBank for about 15 years now. Their customer service is very good, and I like the convenience of lots of local branches and ATMs. They offer checking accounts that have very low fees or no fees at all, and I appreciate their 24 hour customer service phone number. The few times that I have had a problem with their services, the problem has been promptly resolved to my satisfaction. I particularly like the fact that you can easily link your checking account to an online savings account because it makes saving money simple. I would recommend FirstBank checking to anyone in Colorado.
Years ago, when having some difficulties with one of the major national banks, my wife and I decided to switch to FirstBank of Colorado. Since then, our experience with the people at FirstBank has been remarkable. They have been the most professional, helpful, and courteous people we have ever encountered in the banking world. Besides the normal personal checking accounts, we have had business accounts, safe deposit boxes, notary services, bank draft collection services, and various consultations regarding mortgages over the years, all provided with the utmost skill and courtesy. Our relationship with FirstBank has been absolutely stellar, and we would highly recommend them to anyone.
I've been with First Bank since 2008 and their customer service is the best so far. First, when you open an account you can choose what you want out of their list of products. I chose a Flip Camera! so that's a plus. Every time I go they are really nice and there are never lines, at least at my town. They are always treating my daughter so kindly. Besides that, more of the pros are that their savings account only needs to have 100 dollars to keep it activated vs. making deposits every month like other banks. Also the interest they give you is higher. the Cons, you have to pay to reorder checks. But I always go to the counter and ask them to give me some for free .
I haven't had everything happen perfectly here, and by that i do not mean I’ve bounced checks, overdrawn my account or been charged excessive fees. S@$, I MEAN... life and stuff happen. But every time i go into a branch or call them... it's spot on. They have always provided me what i need, when i need it, with a smile which is damn rare now. Im pretty satisfied and never have a doubt that i will be courteously taken care of. I will admit i was reluctant to open an account here after my experience with banks in general as a teenager 20+ years ago. But after 7 months, i really have no complaints. It's been a pretty good experience and in this day and age.... customer service??? What the what...??? Yes please! Only Wamu was better, but apparently that didnt work out. I really love you first bank! Keep up the good service pretty please!

FirstBank (or 1STBank) doesn't seem to have much Yelp love. I see a few reviews scattered here and there for different branches, but nothing extensive so I thought I would throw in my .02. Actually, I really don't have a need to visit the branches often due to direct deposit and online this-and-that for everything else...but when the need to visit in person arises - to deposit a paper check, or whatever the reason - the customer service IS ALWAYS top-notch. I have visited various branches around the Denver area and suburbs and the experience is always the same: I feel like they know me every time I visit. It takes me way back to the early 1990's, when I was a teller myself. Things were much simpler then and we mostly employed common sense when waiting on customers. FirstBank still practices this and I see this when I've visited any of the FirstBank branches and I thoroughly appreciate it. At the same time as offering old-school customer service, it's also pretty hip bank - they frequently have promos and contests for tickets and preferred seating at the 1ST Bank event center in Broomfield. Oh - and - they still have free checking. I heart this bank! 🙂
I really like this branch. They always seem to b over staffed so there is rarely a line. Everyone is really nice and they always have suckers on the counter. Parking is an issue but that's it.
The Franklin branch (Colfax & Franklin) is the only branch in which I will actually go into when I need to do banking. With ATM's and the Night Drop Deposit box, internet, & phone banking available it's easy to skip out on the personal side of banking. The Franklin branch is the only exception. Every time you walk in your mood is immediately better. The friendly staff always remembers my name and makes me feel like I'm a valued customer. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and takes care of all my banking needs. On more than one occasion the manager there has talked to me about First Bank promotions and helped me open new accounts to better suit my banking needs. Taking the extra time to drive to the Franklin branch is well worth the effort. Nothing but smiles and great people there. Keep it up!
This is a fantastic location. They have ample parking, its central to downtown without having to go to Republic Plaza, and most of the people are rather nice. I needed to get a personal account to be linked to my joint account and Julia Derryberry took care of me quickly and was VERY thorough in the explanations of my account options, online banking settings, and the bank's policies. I recommend requesting her for ALL of you new account or credit needs. I've gotten into some trouble with my joint acct at this bank before, because their policies and procedures are a bit different than other national banks I ahve been with like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, or Chase, so having someone so knowledgeable and straightforward about all of my "what if" scenarios was VERY reassuring. After moving to Denver being a Chase customer, then being a Wells Fargo customer I can say I'm happy to be with FirstBank. I have never experienced an issue with the bank when I'm in person, or on the mobile app. Each time I go in (which is about once or twice a month) I take my dog with me and she loves to go! I love that they let you bring your pooches and supply them with water and treats! I almost think they spoil my dog more than me…kidding!
Every bank teller I've encountered is super friendly and bubbly. They get you in and get you out without the feeling of being rushed. I love being a FirstBank customer and hope to stay with them for as long as I remain in Colorado!
This bank is great and they really take care of their customers. I was tired of just being another number, so I thought "why not be first?" Corny, I know, but it's true. Love them. Sometimes the line is long and they can be slow, but overall my best banking experience since moving to Denver.
Excellent bank! They have good security checks in place to make sure your money is safe and they treat you like a member of the family. This location even has free donuts on Saturday!
Love the people at this branch! Friendly service, always smiling, AND...they allow dogs! Once again, a helpful thought for those of us who like to walk to places in the city, and take our fur kids. They welcome dogs and even have doggie treats!

He has been there for years and provided exceptional service - definitely above and beyond necessary. Always friendly and genuine. I can't say enough good things about First Bank. The service from everyone of their representatives has always been awesome. We left CO several years ago but will never leave First Bank! What bank/company gives you the first phone option to speak with a representative? and doesn't send you in circles? and to get a live person in less than 2 minutes. What bank refunds you ATM fees? Also, online banking is so so easy. Thank you to all the dedicated employees at First Bank!
This bank continues to please and amaze me and I don't even live in CO anymore. They make out of state banking SO easy...they pay you back your ATM fees, so it's free. They now have mobile check deposit, so that's a breeze. But the very best aspect of banking with FirstBank is the customer service. I have literally never had a bad experience. Whenever you call, you will always get a live person who is trained, professional and helpful. If every business followed this model there would be a lot more happiness in the world.
I have been with 1st Bank for many years. I have always appreciated their courtesy and felt my funds were safe. Recently, there was a small burp in customer service that was promptly rectified, and they restored my long-term relationship with 1st Bank. Mistakes do happen, but their attention to it was very much appreciated and serves as an example of exemplary customer service. This is a great bank and now I'm looking at opening a savings account with them!
These guys are great. By far the BEST customer service I've ever encountered. You have the regular issues you would have with any bank but you get MUCH better, personalized, service. Lots of locations. I've had them for a checking a savings account for over 20 years and they're the greatest! Super easy website too.
I switched to this bank for business. I've switched with my personal accounts now a well. As other banks get more rigid and less customer focused, 1st bank seems like a pleasant throwback! I appreciate their helpfulness at every turn and a willingness to not push a bunch of services every time I visit.

I love love love 1st bank. They left a voice mail message this morning about possible fraud with my business debit card. I called them back and they asked me about a purchase at midnight for over $500. Not mine, the card has been compromised. They immediately cancelled the card and are sending me another card this week. Keep up the great work. Customer for life.
I just thought it was necessary to give a big thank you to a supervisor in your customer service department. I called in after going overdrawn in my account, a stupid careless mistake on my part. Since I was already embarrassed by my mistake I really expected the worst when I called to speak to Customer Service. Instead of making me feel worse for spending money I did not have (which was my expectation), they made me feel like a human being. They were exceptionally professional and caring. This is in absolute contrast to my dealings with the customer service department at other banks. Every time I call into FirstBank, I am treated with respect and genuine sincerity.
I bank with FirstBank because it makes no sense to bank elsewhere. The service at FirstBank is always first-class. There are always enough tellers and customer service people. I do not need to wait. Everything gets done quickly and correctly. I never have a problem. Nothing goes wrong. Nobody messes up any of my accounts. The online service and website are good. On the rare occasion that I overdraw my account, the bank pays my check, calls me, and I transfer money, no problem. There is nothing not to like about FirstBank.
At other banks, I wait in line, service is slow, things go wrong, too many hassles. Phooey!

It’s not very often that I experience the delight of customer service, but when I’m dealing with First Bank, it is a regular occurrence. Recently, I deposited a check at the branch at Highlands Ranch Pkwy & Broadway. I walked out of work a few hours later to head home, opened my wallet to pay my transit fare and realized that I had forgotten to get cash back from my transaction. With a quick phone call, the team was able to locate my deposit and posted it to my account so I could withdraw funds from a nearby ATM and get home. Personal service like this is why I left the big bank system to come to First Bank and I’ve never regretted that decision.
