The team was great. They took special care with our furniture and protected the walls in both homes - the one we left and our new home. Both were townhomes with 3 floors, so this was not an easy task. Thank you for such great work.

Absolutely the best movers! Check Mate Movers moved us last weekend and I cannot say enough about this family owned local moving company. They arrived on time and were highly professional, well trained and got the job done in record time. Nothing broken or missing!! And the price was reasonable too!

We hired Checkmate moving to move our home (6,000 sf). We had 1/2 going to storage and 1/2 to a rental while we are building our new home. They were professional, friendly, and courteous. They went the extra mile helping me set things up in my home after the last piece of furniture was placed (which is when they stop getting paid). It was raining and a lot of dirt was tracked in to the entry of the house. They made sure to sweep and clean up all the dirt taking with them all of the extra packing material so I didn't have to clean that up too. We will be moving again into our new home in about a year and I wouldn't hire anybody else. Make sure to book a truck early as they book up quickly.

These guys were amazing. Less pricy than the big movers and more careful/honest/dependable. After my experience, I would recommend them to family and friends. Top notch guys and great prices. Wouldn't have made it through this move without them!

Checkmate moved us to our new home in **********. Jared came out in advance of the move to give an estimate. I knew right away talking with Jared that I had made the right decision to hire Checkmate. I appreciate that Jared took the time to look in person at how much had to be moved, and what the challenges would be (3rd floor apartment). Jared's estimate proved to be very accurate. The 2 men who moved everything, Tyler and Robbie, were both always professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with all day. I've moved several times in my life, and this was the overall best experience I've ever had! I highly recommend Checkmate!

My experience with Checkmate Moving and Storage was very, very good. They showed up on time and ready to work on a hot Saturday morning. The movers (Chris, Clay, Carter and one more I cannot remember!) were very professional, careful, and knew what they were doing. They shrink-wrapped all the furniture which provided protection during the ride to the new house. They asked permission to use the restroom and kitchen sink throughout the day. When unloading they asked where to put the boxes and furniture rather doing a dump-and-run. In fact I changed my mind about where to put a few items and they moved some pieces of furniture twice. I'm very pleased with the move, the price and the people. I would highly recommend this company to others. Thank you.

Awesome moving company. My wife and I have used them three times for short, local moves between Lone Tree and Parker (and within Parker). The most recent move was Saturday, March 7th.

As with the previous two moves, they showed up on time and ready to work. They are neatly dressed and very courteous with each mover introducing himself by name.

Also, they have someone come out prior to the move to provide a quote. They review how much stuff you have and items to be moved, etc. Then they quote you based on estimated number of hours and recommend the number of movers.

The move cost less than we were quoted which was nice. My wife and I are very organized movers so we were ready for them when they arrived. If you are not organized and ready for them when they arrive then you may end up paying more than the quote if they have to wait on you to finish packing, etc.

It is a family-owned business which we like and they provide top-notch service. We finally bought a house so hopefully this was our last move, but if not we will definitely use Checkmate again!

The movers were nice and finished our move in a timely manner. 2 men showed up instead of the promised 3, but they were still able to get the job done in one day and since there were less men we weren't charged for 3 and therefore our move was less than the original estimate. I felt like I could trust them with my belongings. I would definitely recommend them! Very reasonably priced!

Would like to give a shout out to Checkmate Moving. The crew was awesome. Three young men that were extremely polite and hardworking...they showed up on time and worked hard to finish on time. They were very helpful in making sure everything was where I wanted it. The owner, Tom, went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied on the resolution for the piece of furniture that was damaged in the move.

I recently selected checkmate moving at the recommendation of my realtors. I looked at the reviews of some of the larger companies and there were some real horror stories and the quote they gave me seemed high. The professionalism of everyone, from the estimator to the movers put me at ease. Everyone was so knowledgeable, it was easy to see that what they do is really an artform. We used Checkmate to move us into an apt. while our home is being built, they also stored the remaining of our stuff. Jared came out to give us an estimate he is so professional and so nice. The movers were very nice, careful with all our stuff and double checked where we wanted them to put stuff in the right place. We moved from FL four years ago our experience then with another moving company was so terrible that Checkmate was a breath of fresh air, thank you Checkmate for a job so well done!

My Wife and I hired the services of Checkmate Moving and Storage based on their stellar reviews. Checkmate and team, moved our 5 bedroom home to a smaller 3 bedroom home. I will say, the service is impeccable! Tom and three team members handled our belongings with ease and care. Proper equipment and dunnage were used during the handling process. We used Checkmate multiple times in the past year for several family member's moves, and they were fantastic every time! They are fast, efficient, conscientious, polite, and everything you would want in a mover. We also used their packing service and not a single thing got broken. They are also the nicest people you will ever meet! Highly recommend!

These guys do an amazing job. They went above and beyond to not only protect our furniture, but also grabbed a bunch of boxes and other things not originally included on the quote to be moved. They were professional and great to work with. I didn't have to explain things to them multiple times or keep repeating what goes and where it goes. All of this and they still came in under the quote.

We can't recommend these guys highly enough. We had a crew of four guys with two trucks from Checkmate for our move from one home to a new home 30 minutes away. They showed up on time at 7:45am. They put in a 10 hour day to move all our contents and everything showed up at our new home with no damage to a single item and nothing missing. They even moved our piano which had to go around the back of the new house to access the door into the finished basement. This with with snow and ice on the ground. They are a great team of guys and Jared did a good job of estimating the costs. A great local family firm who took care of us and our property. Highly recommended.

The A+ rating is well deserved. Checkmate's estimator came to the house, outlined their services and the costs clearly, and his passion for their business was readily evident. On move day, the movers showed up on time, without charging for drive time, were very polite and professional, went straight to work and stopped only for lunch. Checkmate hires only non-smokers so no smoke breaks, no butts left on my property, or burns on my work bench (I've experienced this previously). The workers took great care of our possessions and did so with smiles all day. They were very polite and friendly to our neighbors and represented their company and our family well. Possibly the most pleasant experience of the day was the crew finishing an hour early and with a total cost $200 less than quoted, even after we requested no received additional services. This was a great experience and I would recommend Checkmate to anyone.

Checkmate was outstanding. We have used 4 other moving companies in the last 4 years both professionally and personally, and they have been the best by far. Even when our old landlord came up with crazy, unreasonable demands for them to meet when moving us out, they handled it professionally and efficiently, keeping the time to the minimum possible. We won't even bother calling anyone else again. These guys are great!

Prior to the move, Jared came to the house to introduce himself and provide an on-site estimate. He assured me he would be there every step of the way to make sure items were handled correctly and the move would go smoothly, and he was!
We were emptying a three-bedroom house into storage. He connected me with a nearby storage facility that he's worked with successfully many times in the past and gave me advice about what size units to reserve. On the day of the move, he showed up with his crew on time and got right to work. We didn't quite have everything ready for him, but he was able to work with the situation without any trouble. His crew had the house cleared out in under 4 hours. They took lunch, then got to work unloading into the storage units. Jared made sure the units were organized and the items safely stacked.
I'm so glad we decided to hire Checkmate to move us. They took all the anxiety out of moving. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We'll be using them for all our future moves.

Thanks to Checkmate Moving and Storage I was able to move all of my mother's precious furniture and lovely things she saved for many years from Colorado Springs to my home in Glenwood Springs. My mother was meticulous in the care of her things over many years and even had receipts from the 1950s. I wanted to make sure that they were packed, moved and arrived safely with no damage! So when I called Checkmate they assured me all would be fine! And they were right! Each items was carefully loaded in their truck and each item was carefully unloaded as well. The moving guys had to go down some stairs to where I am storing everything until I can unpack it all, but they carefully negotiated the stairs and turns to make sure nothing was scraped or scratched! My mother would have been horrified if any of her precious things were broken or damaged as I moved her furniture, dishes, family history and antiques across the state! Checkmate's employees were respectful and personable making sure that everything was handled with respect and care! They were prompt and even came in under the estimate when all was said and done! A big thank you to Tom and Jared and the whole crew!

They were the only company who offered to do an in home estimate. They showed up early. They were much less expensive than we expected. The guys were very polite and careful with our belongings. They offered to move anything we asked in addition to what we had agreed upon. Would definitely recommend and use again.

They did everything possible to make the move as smooth of a transition for me as possible. I had to move from an apartment in Boulder into a small storage unit, and then down to Broomfield a few weeks later. Checkmate made two separate trips to complete the move and managed to fit all of my belongings into the storage unit without any problems. They made sure all of my boxes and furniture were placed in the correct locations in my new place so that all I had to do was unpack. This past weekend was the third time I hired Checkmate. They were absolutely fantastic! They met me at my storage unit in the morning, only for me to find that I misplaced my padlock key! They were very patient and followed me back to my house, I was so flustered that I couldn't find my key, I missed the turn back to my house! So, they kept following me and we finally made it back a 1/2 hour later! They moved everything I needed at home and then Tom suggested that I rent some bolt cutters to cut the padlock back at my storage unit! So, that is exactly what I did! Tom cut the padlock and we were good to go! This company puts every moving company to shame. I believe it is because the owner most often is supervising the moves. He hires qualified people that do not smoke or take frequent breaks. I wish Checkmate the best. I will call them again soon!

We've enjoyed the guys each time as they are willing to work with positive attitudes all day long. Our most recent move with Tyler and CJ was great. We hired Checkmate to pack and move our condo contents to a larger home about a half mile away. Jared arrived at exactly the arranged time for our estimate and provided a professional and thorough explanation of the charges and procedure. The packing team and moving team also arrived when scheduled. The packing team did a great job in protecting our belongings and nothing was broken in the process. All boxes were clearly and appropriately labelled. The moving team used similar care in transporting our belongings to our new home. All members of this team were courteous and friendly, seemed to work well together and above all I trusted them. I would hire them again without question.
