He was also able to match the columns and beams to complete the rooms so they all matched along with crown molding, etc.... It was exactly what we were looking for and he was able to accommodate every room and idea that we had. We would highly recommend working with this company.

Steve and his team are ultimate craftsmen. We had him design and build a custom library for our home. The attention to detail, from hand selecting the walnut pieces to unbelievably tight miter joints, is superb. But what really made the experience great is the friendliness and attention to customer concerns - the process was a real pleasure. This was probably an unusual job for Adams Cabinetry... being that I designed the built-ins on paper. They figured out all the details and did the installation. I am a designer and a fine woodworker, so the expectations were high, but didn't have the time, shop size, nor the manpower. The quality of workmanship was just as I expected and group from start to finish were very accommodating. Having a small room and maximizing the space for a guest bedroom/office was certainly the challenge, EVERYTHING was customized. Excellent job and have received a lot of compliments. Thanks!!

Steve is a true master craftsman. I was skeptical that he could build our custom cabinet exactly like his drawing that took him all of 30 seconds. His experience and comfort with wood working is 2nd to none. I plan to use Adams fine furniture again for many things in the future. He took our "vision" of what we wanted, put it on paper and then made the paper drawing into a reality. Impressive, and I'm extremely pleased with our final product.

We had a great experience dealing with Steve Adams on two custom installations in our home. The first was large wall of of open shelves and file drawers for the home office; the second was a set of wall mounted shelving and cabinetry for our media room. The design was a collaborative effort and it was a pleasure to work with a professional who takes the time to understand exactly what we want and develop a design that meets our high expectations, while making necessary choices to manage the project to our budget. The construction and attention to detail was impeccable, especially the matching of the wood grain across multiple doors, drawer fronts and panels. These details are what sets apart custom woodworking from stock cabinetry, and Steve definitely "gets it". He and his staff take pride in their work, and it shows.

Eleven years ago I came to Adams Fine Furniture with my own design for a dining table with a very challenging base and 13ft long buffet to be made in Birdseye Maple. Everyone admitted the project was quite a challenge and after working very hard bringing it all together, I got exactly what I asked for, a quality, beautiful set, and it was stunning.
Several months ago, my husband and I sold our house and with only 5 weeks to move to Arizona, we did not have the time to properly advertise such a unique and large set and it would not fit in our Arizona house. I went to Steve Adams and showed him pictures of the set, which he remembered working on, and asked him if he knew of anyone who may be interested in these pieces. Steve said, “Don’t worry about it. We will pick it all up tomorrow morning and display it in our shop”. Right on time, his truck pulled up and the workers carefully dismantled the complete set and took it away. No charge or paperwork involved. I left everything in his hands and we moved to Arizona the next week.
A few months passed and Steve was having a difficult time finding the right buyer due to the bad economy and size of the set. He kept in close contact with me and we finally agreed we needed to make some kind of settlement. He could have just said have someone come pick it up. Instead, Steve asked me if there was anything we needed for our new home in Arizona and we decided on a bed for our master bedroom. The Adams Furniture expert cabinet makers went to work and made us a very beautiful bed that Steve designed according to our needs which matches the other furniture we already had. In exchange for the dining room set, plus a nominal agreed upon price differential. The bed was delivered and we were able to easily put it together as each piece was perfectly crafted with precision.
Steve did not have to do anything even close to this for us. Like I said before, there was no formal paperwork or expectations. He is a true, fair and exceptional person that keeps his word and puts out super quality pieces with his amazing crew.

I had referred Steve Adams to my clients in Lakewood. We together designed a 24 foot wall of living room bookcases with lower cabinets to hold music scores. What I enjoyed about Steve was he was able to pick up on the design elements of the room and work with me to do a lovely job that I was proud of. We did have a lighting plan which he executed perfectly. And of course the client needed a wine cabinet for the dining room. He used all exotic wood including ebony and rosewood. The scale and proportion was perfect. And to top it off we wanted an ebony up-lit onx stone top. This Hemingway inspired living room ended up being a true show stopper with help of Steve Adams. Intelligent, easy to work with and on top of his game, Truly impressed was I. I look forward to an ongoing professional relationship. Top notch.

He is a very talented designer, he and his workers crafted a custom kitchen for us which was well worth the slightly more expensive cost than standard kitchen remodelers with pre built cabinets.

Steve and his crew of craftsman custom designed two bedside night stands and a chest of drawers in high quality cherry wood. The cost was very reasonable and it is better than any store bought furniture.

We LOVE our bathroom remodels, both of which Steve designed with us, and made them beautiful, functional and comfortable. Worked with Adams Fine Furniture to build custom cabinetry around our new linear fireplace, new mantles and a custom powder room vanity and mirror. We are thrilled with the quality of work and support we received from the crew. An issue with one of our mantles was handled professionally and to our complete satisfaction. We were even worked in on short notice to complete our fireplace built ins before holiday company arrived.

We asked Steve to design and build a hickory, built-in entertainment center with a furniture-style feel. We collaborated on the design over a period of weeks and came up with something we are thrilled with, and a design that was different from other things they said they'd built. The piece was built with pride and true workmanship, attention to detail, and everything we asked for. We'd specifically asked them to use a variety of hickory grains so the piece would have some additional character. The finished piece is truly one-of-a-kind. The installation was also carefully done. We are so happy with Adam's Fine Furniture's work and would hire them again.

When we moved into our home in 2002, I did everything wrong. While it was built in 1993, it had great bones and an open floor plan.

After our research and referrals, we selected Adams Fine Furniture & Cabinetry, located in Lakewood, as our furniture builder. Steve Adams and his staff took the time to work with us to understand our needs and design furniture that would help us achieve our goal. Steve suggested Colorado Beetle Kill Pine wood for a new front desk and cabinets thru out the center. The Golden Transcript referred to the "Grand Front Desk" while covering the remodel in their newspaper. Steve Adams and his craftsmen at Adams Fine Furniture produced and installed a 10' by 10' wall of Custom Cabinetry that includes a Queen Murphy Bed in our LoHi Loft. Starting with a graph paper pencil sketch, Steve saw our vision and created an architectural design including details & features we hadn't considered. The quality & craftsmanship of our cabinetry are exceptional; the installers are true professionals who resolved quirks of our loft (angled walls & uneven floors) and created custom solutions. I rarely feel compelled to log a review of products or services, but I am very pleased with the work Steve Adams and his team did on my project. My project consisted of customizing a new-construction home I recently purchased. I contacted Steve based on my prior experience with his company regarding a custom-built desk I bought 17 years ago.
The largest part of my new project was converting a dining room into an office. It included adding cherry slatted feature walls that served as room dividers; floor-to-ceiling cabinets; a curved desk; two computer workstations; printer and shredder cabinets; and floating shelves. In addition, I needed to frame and drywall two existing doorways--converting one area into a mudroom complete with custom-built "drop and store" bench and cabinets. I also needed changes in my master bath that included adding above- and below-counter cabinets, drawers, and shelves that had to match the style, color, and sheen of the existing cabinetry. Each project required a lot of attention to detail--something Steve and his team excel at.
After describing my vision, Steve quickly grasped exactly what I wanted and suggested I look at his website for examples, specifically work he had done at the Four Seasons Residences. The ideas took off from there, and he custom-designed all of the projects as well as suggesting new trends in woodworking design and cabinetry. He took full advantage of my expansive 12-foot ceilings and made sure to fit within my design style and floor plan as well as my lifestyle and home-office work habits.
It is important to note that he takes tremendous pride in ensuring not only the finest in design and carpentry, but he also focuses on the details that make the spaces more functional and aesthetically pleasing. For example, he and his team of Jason, Art, and Teo swapped out all the existing cabinet hardware in the house to match the new office and mudroom cabinets to ensure a cohesive look throughout. They installed special lighting in the office to highlight the floating shelves and artwork. They hung framed mirrors in the master bath to complete the bathroom project. And the icing on the cake--in its simplicity--was a custom-designed shelf installed under each workstation to contain the computer cabling. I identified the need for "something" to conceal the wiring, and Steve was right on it to make sure I was happy with how the office functioned. Not many contractors would include the added refinements Steve willingly did. Everyone who comes to my house and sees the beautiful woodwork is very impressed.

My wife and I moved to the Denver area from Atlanta about a year ago and not being able to find a home we really liked, decided to build. We selected a well known builder in Highlands Ranch, and 14 months later we moved in. As part of the building process we decided to purchase much of the cabinetry outside that offered by the builder. This was, I felt a little risky, in that I was new to the area and had no feel for the quality or workmanship offered by the local cabinet makers. After months of obtaining quotes and visiting potential suppliers we settled on Adams Fine Furniture. Steve Adams and I were able to work out an agreement that was acceptable to both parties. Throughout the process Steve kept us updated on his progress and several weeks before the actual installation was to begin, he invited my wife and I to his shop where he had set up an entire room containing our newly made cabinetry. We were blown away!! Steve and his team are truly artistic craftsmen. We were so impressed we added additional work shortly thereafter. His team started the day promised, and stayed on the site until the job was finished. Steve delivered quality, value, and exceeded our expectations.

We hired Steve to help us with a very extensive kitchen remodel that involved removing walls and completely reorganizing our kitchen. We had no idea where to begin, so we contacted a couple contractors and cabinet groups to help us think through and bid the project. While everyone we met with was more than professional and generous with their time, the difference between Steve and the other contractors was apparent from the start. Steve instantly saw our vision and came to the table with a number of unique ideas that really transformed our idea from a kitchen remodel into a project that would improve the entire feel of our home.
Aside from his great ideas, dealing with Steve on a professional level was an entirely refreshing experience. Steve quickly came up with project pricing that was more than fair and took ownership of the entire project. However, more importantly, Steve promised a construction timeline that was less than a third of the time projected by the next closest contractor. We have a family with young children, so the duration of construction and disturbance to our family was a significant driver in our decision.
Candidly, I had serious reservations that Steve could deliver on budget in the timeline he quoted. However, all the reviews we could find on Steve consistently noted that he delivered what he promised so we decided to take the plunge to see for ourselves. The result was the most positive experience that we could imagine.
As a starting place, Steve honored his bid despite some unexpected changes and did not come back to the well with constant change orders and cost mark-ups. He is a man of his word, and that goes a long way. Secondly, Steve and his crew were complete magicians with the work they performed. The total project time from the beginning of demo until they returned a working kitchen to my family was 3 weeks. I repeat, 3 WEEKS! Steve had everything lined up from his staff, plumbers, electricians, granite fabricator, etc. so that when he came into the home everything went off in perfect synchronization. Steve handled all of the hidden surprises associated with remodeling a 116 year old home in stride and kept the project continually moving. Finally, Steve and his crew impressed with constant attention to detail and a strong emphasis of doing things right rather than fast or cheap. Steve and his crew take significant pride in their work and its shows in every way.

We LOVE our master bathroom remodel, Adams did a superb job at helping design the most ideal double sink vanity with BIG mirror, and drawers in just the right size and location. We use it every day and it is a quality cabinet, and all the new tub tile is beautiful, the tub surround and the window trim are all matching color stain and in cherry wood to match.
We did the lower bathroom as well with Adams, and are about to do a kitchen upgrade and closet for the master, we can't wait to meet and get a great design done as well.

To say we were stuck in a desperate and frustrating situation when we met Steve Adams and Adams Custom Cabinetry is an understatement! We had embarked on a kitchen renovation and major addition to our home in Fall of 2018 which quickly spiraled into a disaster of epic proportions after we discovered our GC was completely incompetent. Over a year later, the addition was done but we were left with what could quite possibly be the world's worst cabinets both in our renovated kitchen and throughout the new addition. They were literally falling apart within months, with raw edges, a terrible paint job, and absolutely no degree of finish detail. The end result made me feel depressed and overwhelmed every time I looked around what was supposed to be my beautiful new home. Knowing we needed help, we reached out to several other custom cabinetry guys hoping they could helps us remedy the terrible situation, all to no avail. Nobody would touch our botched project with a 10 foot pole! Enter Steve and his amazing crew, who literally saved our entire house from the brink of hideous disaster. We recently moved to a new home and needed some built-in cabinetry for our TV in an alcove that we have. We are so happy we called Adams Fine Furniture & Cabinetry and had the privilege of meeting Steve Adams. He drew up some plans for us right away and the work was completed within a few weeks. Wanted a large built-in unit and loft bed with stairs for a bonus room in my townhouse. The process was super simple and Steve came up with some incredible pieces. It was very costly, but the work is impeccable and it will certainly add great value to my home.
The built in wall unit has SO much storage to suit all my needs. There are drawers, shelves, and cabinets and all of my electronics fit without any cords showing. They really thought of everything for the construction of these items.
The loft bed works great and allows room under for a couch. The stairs to the loft are great since it allows for older people and those with disabilities to be able to use the bed without a pesky ladder. They also have a cabinet, which could be used for a small closet, drawers, and small cubbies. All the storage in this room is just what I wanted.
So happy with the work and would recommend Adams Fine Furniture if you're looking for extremely high-quality, custom, woodworking.

A while back we bought a new home and my wife's office had no storage. After some research, we decided to look into Adams Custom Cabinetry (a.k.a. Adams Fine Furniture and Cabinetry). I had misplaced the folder with all of our information and recently found it; so this review is long overdue.
We went to their location in Lakewood to look at some examples. Steve Adams, the owner, also showed us several items that were in progress for other customers. We also were able to meet and talk to a couple of the carpenters working on projects. We were impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship and attention to detail. We made an appointment to have Steve come out to our new place discuss some high level concepts and take measurements. Steve went back, developed a design, and shared it with us. Steve came up with a wall to wall bookcase and storage unit that looks fantastic. (The images do not do it justice). We loved it and proceeded with the project.
They manufacture the product at their plant, stain it and then deliver it for installation. Given the size of the project, the installers took a couple of days to complete the project. They even installed some spot lights to provide a really nice accent to the bookcase. The installers were great, cleaning up after themselves at the end of the day, as well as the project (which I would expect).
We gave Steve a sample of our cabinets and he matched the color precisely. It looks beautiful. We also decided to go with Wainscoating to match the bookcase. It really brings the entire room together. I cannot say enough about the quality and craftsmanship. It is something that is hard to find these days. While this is not the cheapest route, I do consider Adams Fine Furniture and Cabinetry the way to go if you want a high quality, custom piece that adds beauty and value to your home. I highly recommend them.

I worked with Steve Adams on my custom Mid Century kitchen. He was great to work with and acted like a general contractor organizing the other contractors as needed. The results were truly custom and would not have been achievable in beauty or function compared to store bought cabinets no matter the quality. My project was smooth and fast and the results were fantastic. I highly recommend!

We ordered a very expensive media console that just didn't look right, so we started researching custom options. Steve then came out to our home for a free consultation where together we designed the perfect custom solution for our TV. We went to his showroom where we saw our custom solution set up for a "Show and Tell" and once approved, the media center was installed in just a few days. The total process took just under 4 weeks. Steve's installation team was very courteous and professional and the craftsmanship of the finished product is impeccable. We couldn't be happier with the final result and look forward to working with Steve and his team in the future for more custom projects.

We have worked with Steve on three projects. All three projects (4 pieces) are incredible! The craftsmanship Steve and his crew have are second to none. They listen to what you want, provide great insight and pay great attention to detail. They made a great pub table with a live edge on two sides from a black walnut tree we had to remove, 2 beautiful dressers, again with a matching live edge and the piece de resistance, a custom, craftsman fireplace mantel with side cabinets. It is the showpiece of the interior of the house!

Let me just say Steve is first class service all the way. We wanted to make our basement more cozy and requested some quotes from contractors. After realizes most items I wanted were wood pieces I decided to contact Adams cabinetry.
Steve came out, gave me his opinions on things and went home and hand sketched my vision on paper. Not only that but his quote was fantastic. These are custom hardwood pieces for a great deal. It includes installation, constant check ins from Steve, and the fun part of picking a stain and finishes. I can not say enough good things about this company. Professional, communicative, etc. first class service all the way. Everything including installation was done within 6 weeks.

We had an awesome experience with Steve Adams and his team - the second one in seven years. Steve designed a gorgeous floor-to-ceiling cabinet for our study to match the desk and media cabinet he built for us in 2014. The price was deliciously inexpensive and the finished cabinet was installed slightly ahead of schedule. It's absolutely perfect.
