Called Golden Spike Roofing for a free estimate because a friend had them do his roof and he was a satisfied.Dave Vaughn came to our house inspected roof and told me that I should contact my insurance company because I had a claim for roof,gutters and screens. When the aduster came he agreed to Dave's observations. Dave showed up every day to check on the job sie and helped get a cotractor to do gutters and he helped with every step of filing my paperwork with the insurance company. Our roofing experience with Golden Spike was incredible from beginning to completion. The project manager responded quickly to our request for an estimate. He provided his expertise when discussing material options for our roof. Both he and the owner were actively engaged in overseeing all aspects of the roofing project. The job started on schedule and ended ahead of schedule due in part to the diligence of the work crew. Our home was left without any trace of project trash.

Golden Spike Roofing was the best company I could have chosen to handle the roof replacement on my home and the other repairs caused by the terrible hail storm on July 1, 2016 in Castle Rock, CO. The quality of workmanship was outstanding, and their crew was top notch to work with! Dave was ahead of game on every detail and was terrific to work with. He was very professional and responded within minutes to any email or phone call. My neighbors were also so impressed that they sent me a text which read, "We were just looking at your roof from the room we have upstairs on that side of our house. It looks really good and from what I can see they have done a great job. Many houses around here they have slapped up a new roof all in 1 day! I'm sure they did not do the quality of the company you had do yours".

Golden Spike Roofing re-roofed my home.Final bill was the same as original quote.They spent 12 to 14 hours for tear off and installation on 18 square job. The roof was installed to code and manufacture specifications, the owner addressed all my concerns (pass inspection). My original roof done 6 months prior, failed inspection,did not meet code or manufacture specifications. On his detailed bill he charged 12 1/2 hours to load and install shingles with twice as many people. I would recomend that anyone having a roof done add to your contract, any dispute after a failed inspection, the contactor shall pay for a third party inspector and shall complie with the report.(shall in legal terms is required). The roof work itself was completed very well. Even with the surge in roof repairs in the city, they were quick to schedule the job and finished on time, with minimal disruption or inconvenience. They cleaned up nicely, and did an excellent job. They were also much more reasonably priced than the company that my insurance company originally sent out (and much faster and easy to work with). My only qualm was their less aggressive handling of related damage repairs (beyond the roof) from the same hail damage claim (they're roofers after all) and the 6-month delay to complete the inspection and get closure. That's mostly the city's fault, of course, but there was a glitch that resulted in missing the first inspection date which caused a 3-month delay to become a 6-month delay. Again, mostly the city's fault, but a bit frustrating. Overall, I highly recommend this roofing company.

He responded very quickly to any questions or concerns that I had. I know that without Dave's attention to the project, I would not have had the great results that I experienced.

Dave, the project manager was easy to work with and always available. They were genuinely interested in doing a good job which they did. They found some structural problems which they repaired at a very very reasonable cost. They completed the work in a timely fashion. They were fair and reasonable in every way.

I worked with Dave and his customer service was excellent. From the start he made sure to coach me through the process and explained the reasoning behind all of his recommendations. He responded to every request, question, and other communication promptly all hours of the day. After a hailstorm most of my neighbors used another roofer (another well known local company) but I was one of the few that got several bids and picked Golden Spike instead. The overall quality of the work was excellent and our neighbors immediately began complimenting me on the quality and slick look of the roof install. The cleanup was also above and beyond and the cleanup crew went well into my neighbors yard to pick up any stray nails. They did such a thorough job that they actually were picking up nails from my neighbor's previous roofing job as well! My neighbor was really impressed! There was one issue with the roof install where the bath vent was not vented properly. Dave did not hesitate to make sure it would get fixed and as it turned out he was involved in fixing it himself. He made sure it was done right and while he was up on the roof he put some other finishing touches on other vent installs so that the overall result was top-notch. A new gutter install was also part of the project and the crew that put the gutters up did an excellent and quick job and got it done right before a rainstorm. I especially appreciated how Dave worked with the insurance company to make sure the right work was done the right way, was reimbursed properly, and done in a timely manner. The overall cost was comparable to the other bids but the quality of the install including edging and vent materials leads me to give an overall value of 5.

Spike gave us great options, including fixing our existing shake roof. We agreed on a new asphalt roof. The job was completed in a day and a half. Clean up was perfect,as was the job. Spike and his crew were fantastic to work with.

Excellent installation as far as it went. Because of substitutes made for gutter guard it has only been partially adequate in keeping the gutter clean. Young and inexperienced project manager gave results that prevent me from giving you five stars.
